For Eid-ul-Adha, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has formally declared a three-day holiday that would be observed by all of the province’s courts. The LHC and the district, session, and civil courts will be closed from June 17 to June 19, according to a statement.
Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan’s consent was obtained before the announcement was made. This decision is in line with the federal government’s previous announcement, which was confirmed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and proclaimed the Eid-ul-Adha holidays to be from June 17 to June 19.
Since most government offices and educational institutions are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, the holidays will actually start on June 15 (tomorrow). Many workers and students end up with five consecutive holidays as a result.
To ensure consistency throughout the nation, the State Bank of Pakistan, the provincial governments of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and others have all declared the Eid holidays in accordance with the same timetable.
It is anticipated that the longer holiday period will make it easier for people to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha and provide them more time to engage in family and religious activities.
